Sebastian Tan
I currently live in SF and am building Talunt.io. I'm usually in the office at Human Capital in the Financial District or Afore Capital in SoMa.
I'm also a student at Stanford, studying computer science and economics. Right now, I'm on leave, but I take trips down to campus sometimes to see friends.
On my gap year, I did software engineering at Palantir, founded and sold a company, explored NYC, and started another company. I fell in love with all types of food, but still enjoy staying active and lifting.
I believe that people are the greatest asset that any of us will have in life. The people who work with you, for you, and around you are some of the largest predictors of where life will take you.

Working with great people is one of the most rewarding experiences in life.
Pure ambition and perserverence can beat any level of natural talent in most things.
Being honest is not something to be afraid of, it helps everyone grow.
People who value humility over status are true friends who are with you for the right reasons.
Money buys most of what people call happiness, with the exception of true or unconditional love.
Hard things are simply a part of life, you can choose to quit or choose to fight.
Asking people you respect for actionable advice is the best way to improve yourself.
Pay things forward because not long ago you were in that person's shoes.
Too often, people overestimate risk and underestimate opportunity.
People are hard to change, but it's the ones who do that are worth fighting for.
Make a habit of doing small favors for people, those favors compound and provide wholesome returns.
